Optimizely, the market‑leading experience optimization platform, wanted to turn community marketing into a scalable business strategy by launching a global certification program, but faced time, resource and functionality constraints that made building an in‑house solution impractical. They partnered with Mercer Mettl to provide the assessment, remote proctoring and coding‑simulator capabilities needed to certify users and developers.
Mercer Mettl delivered an online assessment & testing platform with advanced web proctoring, a front‑end coding simulator and API whitelabeling, enabling a fast, branded and secure launch. Since debuting, the program has attracted global candidates, yields about 4,500 certifications annually with an estimated annual reach of 4.7 million, eliminated the need for physical test centers (cutting time and cost), and is being expanded into developer certifications using Mercer Mettl’s tools.
