Papier, founded in 2015, creates design-led personalised cards and stationery and benefits from very high customer loyalty (customers purchase on average every two months). Wanting to turn that loyalty into sustainable new-customer growth, they needed a referral solution that matched their design values rather than a one-size-fits-all template.
They partnered with Mention Me to build a bespoke, scalable referral programme with cohort A/B testing, a “Share by Name” feature and a CPA model that allowed low-risk experimentation (23+ tests over almost two years). Results include a 20% lift in sharing (21% peak share rate), over 25% of referrals via Share by Name, and referred customers making 25% more repeat purchases—generating over £18K in repeat orders to date.
