A Melissa Case Study
Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, a 600-seat theater in Wickenburg, Ariz., faced rising costs and lost communications from undeliverable mail to its 12,800-patron list—mailings that drive roughly half the organization’s annual revenue. To solve this, the theater turned to Melissa and used Melissa’s NCOALink Move-Update Processing service to ensure addresses were current before major mail drops.
Melissa’s NCOALink processing updated 1,221 addresses at a $150 data-cleaning cost, eliminating returned mail and enabling the theater to save an estimated $4,550 (about $1,400 in printing, $950 in initial postage, $1,700 in returned-mail costs and $500 in resend fees). The result: fewer undeliverable pieces, lower postage and paper waste, faster 24-hour turnaround on data hygiene, and funds redirected to programming and education.
