SKR Reisen, a German tour operator, faced growing duplicate records and inconsistent address formats in its ERP system that undermined CRM rollouts and customer communications. During the pandemic the company sought a data‑quality partner and chose Melissa, using its data quality solutions (including MatchUp® for duplicate checking) to reconcile and standardise customer data before it reached the CRM.

Melissa’s MatchUp® service was integrated via APIs (SKR built a Python cloud connector) to perform deep fuzzy matching, address standardisation and continuous, GDPR‑compliant cleaning of the customer base. The deployment cleaned the entire customer stock and now runs continuously, helping SKR Reisen harmonise 55% of customer data, eliminate duplicates, improve addressing and prepare clean records for CRM—delivering better internal workflows and a more consistent customer experience.
