Metafile Partners up to Provide Clients with Updated Records

Metafile Information Systems, Inc., a pioneer in content and fundraising management software and creator of ResultsPlus™, serves more than 3,500 organizations including nonprofits like Companions of St. Anthony. To meet clients’ need for USPS‑required NCOALink Move‑Update (and avoid the cost of building in‑house NCOALink infrastructure), Metafile turned to vendor Melissa to handle address change processing.

Metafile integrated Melissa’s NCOALink processing into its ResultsPlus CDV service: client files are submitted to Melissa, returned as “updated” and “invalidated,” and Metafile imports valid updates while marking undeliverable addresses for exclusion. The Melissa partnership cut waste and lowered postage/production costs, enabled clients (Companions mails roughly 100,000 pieces/month) to qualify for postal discounts by NCOA-ing every 90 days, and streamlined ongoing address cleansing.
