Fashion House HIRMER Successfully Expands Internationally with Melissa

HIRMER, the Munich-based men’s fashion house that operates a web shop and 15 branches across Germany and Austria, needed to internationalize its online store but its systems could not handle non‑German address formats. While evaluating options, HIRMER selected Melissa and its international address validation service to validate and correct foreign addresses via a web service interface and secure HTTPS processing.

Melissa’s real‑time and batch address validation was integrated in 2018 into HIRMER’s checkout and ERP systems with quick implementation and support. The solution now checks over 100,000 addresses across 40 countries each year, cut average international delivery times by about one day, improved on‑time deliveries and customer satisfaction, and supports HIRMER’s ongoing expansion.
