Home Services Marketplace Discovers TikTokʼs Dramatic Impact on New Customer Acquisition

American Home Services Brand, a national home services marketplace that connects homeowners with local professionals, embraced TikTok but needed to determine whether the channel was driving new customer acquisition or just bringing back existing customers — and whether it met their customer acquisition cost (CAC) goals. To answer that question, the team partnered with Measured and used Measured’s geo testing application to isolate TikTok’s incremental impact on new versus returning customers.

Measured ran a geo test using its advanced market selection process and found that 91% of TikTok’s incremental sales were new-to-file customers while only 9% were from existing customers, and TikTok delivered the second-lowest CAC — well below the brand’s target. Based on Measured’s results, American Home Services Brand has more than doubled its TikTok spend (2X) and plans to allocate additional budget to support continued new customer growth.
