Leading Indian Marketplace Company, one of India’s largest e-commerce marketplaces with 30+ million products and a 75+ million user base, wanted to expand deeper into rural India. The main challenge was language: its English-first website and app needed to be localized for seven vernacular languages while keeping catalog terminology accurate, culturally relevant, and ready before the annual mega sale. MattsenKumar was brought in to support this content localization effort.

MattsenKumar built a structured localization program covering Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, and Oriya, using SME linguists, editorial guidelines, QA checks, and contextual translation/transliteration rules for attribute names and values. The vendor localized 40+ million words and 5,000+ verticals, achieved 98.35% average accuracy, and helped the client drive a 32% increase in first-day sale footfall. MattsenKumar also supported additional glossary creation and testing, and the project moved into Phase II for newly added catalog content.
