Leading Food Company, a global restaurant aggregator and food delivery platform operating in over 10 countries, needed competitive intelligence to better understand a strong rival in two metro markets. The company wanted to compare restaurant onboarding, menu availability, discounts, and delivery-related pricing across web and app experiences to sharpen its strategy and stay competitive. MattsenKumar supported this effort with a competitive analysis and data-driven market comparison service.
MattsenKumar built an in-house algorithm to compare the two platforms despite differences in technology stack and constantly changing interfaces, then validated it through testing and QC before delivering analysis and Power BI dashboards. The work uncovered that 16% of menu items were missing on the client’s platform in Metro 1 and 24% in Metro 2, with recommendations expected to raise assortments by 19%; it also found 17% of common menus were priced higher than the competition, with actions projected to improve pricing on 14% of the overall menu items.
