SHP, a trusted architectural practice with a 119-year history in K-12, higher education, workplace, and community design, turned to Matterport to improve documentation of as-built conditions and construction milestones. Using the Matterport Pro2 camera and Matterport Cloud, SHP needed a better way to capture existing campuses, reduce repeated site visits, and improve the accuracy of its BIM and design estimates.

Matterport helped SHP create detailed 3D models that could be revisited for dimensions, point clouds, and design verification in Autodesk Revit. As a result, SHP reduced site visits, sped up modeling workflows, and improved estimate accuracy; the company also said the lower documentation effort was “incredibly important” to its bottom line.
