Nordlaks Products, a major family-owned seafood company, faced significant logistical and technical challenges while expanding its salmon processing facility in remote Northern Norway. The project required integrating new construction with an existing operational plant, coordinating multiple European suppliers, and avoiding costly errors across long supply chains. To address this, Nordlaks employed Matterport's 3D scanning technology alongside Autodesk Construction Cloud to create a digital-first construction strategy.

Using Matterport Pro3 scanners, Nordlaks captured high-precision 3D digital twins of its existing facility. This allowed subcontractors to design new equipment accurately, conduct virtual collision detection, and perform remote inspections. The solution drastically reduced the need for site visits, minimized design errors, and facilitated seamless collaboration across borders. Matterport's technology provided a future-proof digital foundation for the expanded facility's long-term management and operational planning.
