A Matterport Case Study
HeartCore, a Tokyo-based digital transformation and CMS specialist, needed new ways to help customers improve online engagement during the pandemic as in-person events and visits were limited. To meet that challenge, HeartCore expanded into 3D virtual reality experiences and partnered with Matterport, using the Matterport SDK and APIs to build interactive digital twin-based tours, e-commerce experiences, and event activations.
With Matterport, HeartCore created customized virtual experiences by adding guided tours, videos, voice/audio, Mattertags, games, and other interactive elements on top of Matterport digital twins. The results included more than 20,000 visitors to Tokyo University of Technology’s virtual open campus and 300% traffic growth for Aoshima’s online Shizuoka Hobby Show event compared with local in-person attendance, while also improving shopping and engagement for retail and other clients.
