DocuSign, a global leader in digital transaction management, faced a legacy business intelligence infrastructure that could not scale to meet growing performance, cost and security demands. To modernize its data warehouse and reporting, DocuSign selected Snowflake as its cloud data warehouse and Matillion, using Matillion ETL for Snowflake, to move data from SQL Server, accelerate ETL processing, and secure data in transit.

Matillion deployed from the AWS Marketplace and worked on-site with DocuSign engineers to integrate with Snowflake and tune the environment; Matillion’s solution was fully running in about two days and the data engineering team became proficient in under 14 days. The Matillion-powered implementation cut long-running jobs from over 22 hours to 6 hours, reduced latency, improved scalability and security, and delivered better IT value and lower operating costs.
