Valley Transportation Authority Adds Video Surveillance to Light Rail Vehicles

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) sought to expand its successful video surveillance program from its buses to its fleet of 80 light rail vehicles. Following an extensive bid process and demonstration, they selected a mobile video solution from March Networks, which was provided and installed by their certified solution provider, Diversified Security Solutions.

March Networks provided its Mobile DVRs (MDVRs) and Enterprise Management Suite software, which completed its final demonstration without failure. The solution offered excellent image quality and superior wireless diagnostic and video download capabilities. This implementation by March Networks gave the VTA a proactive fleet management system and a new level of protection for its light rail network.
