A March Networks Case Study
Fifth Third Bancorp, a major U.S. bank, faced security challenges from a national increase in robberies and break-ins. They needed a video surveillance upgrade to provide law enforcement with high-quality evidence and improve incident response. They partnered with vendor March Networks to deploy a large-scale system of IP and analog cameras alongside hybrid NVRs.
The solution implemented by March Networks included 12,000 cameras and 1,600 Hybrid NVRs. This provided crystal clear video that greatly improved suspect identification and apprehension rates, earning constant praise from law enforcement. The results also extended beyond security, as other bank departments used the system for facilities management and retail operations, making the investment more valuable. The bank also plans to implement March Networks' software for advanced fraud investigation and business intelligence.
