Boat Owners Check Video Before Venturing Out on Finland’s Archipelago Sea

The Kultaranta Resort, a Finnish resort with a marina, sought a video surveillance solution to provide security for expensive yachts and to allow boat owners to remotely check conditions. They partnered with vendor March Networks and system integrator Tele-Projekti Oy to address this challenge using a server-based system with March Networks Command Professional software.

March Networks implemented a solution using IP cameras and software that sends still images to the internet for remote viewing by shareholders and streams live video to the resort's clubhouse. This allows boat owners to check weather and boat security from any device, while also providing the resort with evidence-gathering capabilities. The successful deployment led to plans for expanding the elegant system to cover new facilities.
