Victim Support, an independent charity with around 120 locations across England and Wales, was managing a large, complex and costly IT estate made up of multiple providers and legacy technologies. Maintel was already supporting part of the environment and was asked to help rationalise the charity’s infrastructure and reduce costs, while modernising its communications and server services.

Maintel delivered a fully managed IT infrastructure using ICON Secure, along with upgraded server hosting, connectivity and unified communications based on Skype for Business and Enterprise Voice. The new dedicated, fully redundant service consolidated multiple technologies and suppliers, improved security and scalability, and cut Victim Support’s IT spend by 40%, freeing up more funding for frontline support.
