United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, one of the largest acute hospital trusts in England, needed to improve mobility and better meet the communication needs of its community as staff moved from large offices to smaller, multi-skilled groups. Maintel helped the trust plan a migration from its legacy Nortel/Avaya Blue telephony estate to a more flexible IP-based communications platform, including unified communications and contact centre capabilities.

Maintel designed and delivered an IP telephony, UC and contact centre solution based on Avaya Aura technologies, with a structured rollout that ensured zero downtime for key services. The new platform has enabled the trust to communicate with patients and clients in real time across multiple channels, improving community service, while the core contact centre is now live and the rollout continues into additional business units and wider regional health care agencies.
