A Maintel Case Study
Skipton Building Society, one of the UK’s largest building societies, needed to modernise its dated print environment across 90 branches and a 1,500-strong workforce. With nearly 600,000 pages printed each month and limited visibility, control and security over print activity, the organisation wanted a more efficient, compliant and environmentally responsible approach to document handling. Maintel was brought in to design a new managed print service (MPS) and digital print strategy.
Maintel implemented a fully tailored MPS with multi-functional print/copy/scan devices, secure swipe-card printing, software for visibility and control, and ongoing remote monitoring. The solution reduced the number of print devices by around two thirds at head office, improved security and user productivity, and consolidated digital print services into one monthly bill. Most importantly, Maintel helped Skipton Building Society save £53,000 per year in print-related costs while freeing IT staff to focus on innovation.
