Implementation of Mitel IP communication solution

Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust (PHNT) needed a more consistent voice communications experience for its 10,000 users across hospitals, clinics, and community sites. Working with Maintel, the Trust sought a way to modernize its aging telephony environment without replacing all of its existing infrastructure.

Maintel implemented a Mitel IP communications solution, including Mitel 5624 IP Wi‑Fi handsets, the Mitel 3300 IP platform, call flow management software, automated speech-enabled directory services, and mobile extensions. The phased approach extended the life of PHNT’s existing PBX equipment while improving mobility, call handling, and workforce efficiency, with better visibility of call queues and agent performance to help resource staff more effectively.
