Ultra Finishing Ltd, one of the UK’s largest independent bathroom suppliers, was struggling with a complex, costly print environment across three locations and 200 employees. With little visibility into print usage, no reliable asset records, and an IT team burdened by in-house servicing, the company turned to Maintel for a managed print solution using uniFLOW software and an eMaintenance system.

Maintel implemented a fully managed print service with Canon MFDs and printers, secure follow-me printing via ID cards, and remote monitoring for toner, meter reads, and errors. The result was 23 centrally managed devices, full visibility and control over printing, reduced colour output, and significantly lower waste, including the insight that around 28% of documents sent to print were never collected. Ultra Finishing also gained monthly cost visibility, better budget control, and removed the printing burden from its IT team.
