Design and implementation of an updated legacy wireless system

William Morris Sixth Form, a mixed community sixth form in West London, was facing increasing strain on its legacy wireless network as more staff and students relied on wireless devices. The school needed stronger Wi‑Fi access, more logon points, and better support for online and shared resources. Maintel was brought in to help address these wireless capacity and reliability challenges.

Maintel designed and implemented an updated wireless system to improve bandwidth access, security, and ease of device configuration, including for personal devices. The result was more consistent wireless coverage, improved reliability, faster logon times and connection speeds, and fewer interruptions in class. Maintel also reduced IT support complexity through simpler key management, helping the school add hundreds of users more easily and freeing staff to focus on other priorities.
