A Maintel Case Study
Conwy County Council needed to modernise a fragmented voice and data environment across more than 40 offices, with some sites not connected to the council network at all. Working with Maintel, the council sought a converged infrastructure to centralise management, improve productivity, and support better public services through technologies such as unified messaging, unified communications, and contact centre capabilities.
Maintel designed and implemented an IP telephony and contact centre solution based on Avaya Communication Server 1000 with CallPilot, Contact Centre 6, and over 1,800 IP Phone 1100 Series handsets. The new platform connected offices across the county, enabled hotdesking and skills-based call routing, improved service to residents, and is on target to save Conwy County Council more than £1 million over ten years through simpler infrastructure management.
