A Maintel Case Study
Beaverbrooks, the UK family-owned jeweller with 69 stores, was managing a diverse and costly print estate across its head office with multiple suppliers, device types, and drivers. The complexity was placing a heavy burden on the in-house IT team, while print wastage and security concerns around unattended documents added further pressure. Maintel was brought in to assess the environment and recommend a better approach, including a managed print service (MPS).
Maintel implemented a fully standardised managed print service with Canon multifunction and desktop devices, supported by uniFLOW Output Manager for central monitoring, reporting, and secure print release. The new setup replaced multiple suppliers and contracts with a single solution, improved visibility and control, reduced IT workload, and strengthened security by allowing staff to release jobs with an access card at any device. Maintel also provided proactive 24/7 support, remote monitoring, toner replenishment, and fault handling, helping Beaverbrooks achieve a more flexible, easier-to-manage print environment with clear cost efficiencies.
