Pack Up + Go is a surprise travel company whose challenge was convincing potential customers to trust their unique model, where clients don't know their destination until the day of the trip. They needed a marketing strategy that would build trust, educate their audience, and grow their brand while addressing customer concerns about the process. They used Mailchimp's email marketing and segmentation tools to accomplish this.

The solution involved creating a strategy centered on user-generated content to build trust and segmenting their audience with Mailchimp to send highly targeted marketing messages. This included automated campaigns for trip insurance and personalized communication during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results were significant, with over half of all trips coming from repeat travelers or referrals. Mailchimp helped them send around 35,000 travelers on approximately 16,000 trips, and their referral program, Cloud 9 Club, further incentivized this customer-driven growth.
