Six Barrel Soda, a Wellington-based natural soda syrup company, needed a better way to grow its direct-to-consumer audience and measure the impact of its marketing. With a small marketing team and a goal of increasing online sales before expanding wholesale, the company turned to Mailchimp and its Shopify integration to avoid manual list management and better reach customers with newsletters and promotions.

Using Mailchimp’s Shopify integration, Six Barrel Soda synced customer and sales data into Mailchimp, automatically grew its subscriber list through website signup forms, and tracked revenue from each email campaign. The results included 1,061 new contacts in one month, 97% of new contacts coming from the Shopify integration, and an average of $1,426 NZD in revenue per email campaign, while saving the team significant time on admin.
