How MovingWaldo Grew Revenue and Optimized Messaging

MovingWaldo, a Montreal-based tech company founded in 2017, built a digital concierge platform to help people manage the stress of moving, from changing addresses to finding moving, utility, and home service providers. As their audience grew across both B2C and B2B segments, the company needed a better way to monetize its email list, organize vendor and realtor data, and tailor messaging for French- and English-speaking audiences. They used Mailchimp email marketing tools alongside their existing QuickBooks accounting setup.

With Mailchimp, MovingWaldo implemented email automations, audience segmentation, and A/B testing, and later added the Mailchimp QuickBooks integration to automatically sync and segment B2B contacts. This helped them save time, reduce manual data entry, and send more targeted campaigns. Mailchimp’s A/B tests showed measurable gains, including an 18.2% increase in interest for an electricity-saving tips email, 1.2x higher engagement when telecom offers were sent during a move, and a 12.2% lift in interest from English-speaking audiences for telecom-sponsored emails.
