A Mailchimp Case Study
Jopwell, a New York–based career advancement platform for Black, Latinx, and Native American students and professionals, faced the challenge of connecting the right companies with the right job seekers and turning employers’ stated diversity goals into tangible actions. Since 2016 they’ve used Mailchimp’s Marketing CRM and data insights to centralize audience data and better segment and target partners, candidates, and community members.
Using Mailchimp’s tagging, audience dashboard, and reporting tools (including predicted demographics and click maps), Jopwell built highly targeted campaigns and measured what resonated. The result: they tripled email volume (from 1.8M to more than 5M sends per year — a 177% increase), maintained an open rate around 27–30%, lifted click rate from 2.5% to 4.68%, and saw an 87% increase in engagement — achievements Jopwell attributes to Mailchimp.
