BoneHaüs, an illustration studio, worked with their agency Digital Impulse and the vendor Mailchimp to address the core challenge of email list growth. The goal was to move away from purchasing low-quality email lists, which hurt engagement and conversion rates, and instead find a method to acquire a list of genuinely interested and engaged subscribers.

The solution implemented using Mailchimp's automation and segmentation tools was a targeted social media sweepstakes campaign. This approach leveraged Facebook ads to attract a specific demographic, offering a chance to win a prize in exchange for an email address. The campaign was a major success, resulting in highly segmented lists that powered effective automated follow-up emails, including a winner announcement email that achieved a remarkably high open rate of 77%.
