Why WSP Canada rolled out Mail Manager across the business

WSP Canada, part of global consulting firm WSP, needed a better way to manage high volumes of project emails across its engineering teams. Before implementing Mail Manager, email filing was time-consuming, inconsistent, and often skipped altogether, leaving important project correspondence trapped in inboxes or difficult to search in PST archives. Privacy law changes also made it harder to access emails when staff left, creating issues for audits, legal disputes, and team collaboration.

To address this, WSP Canada piloted Mail Manager against other solutions and found it more intuitive, user-friendly, and better suited to their multi-platform environment, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and ProjectWise. Mail Manager was then rolled out with 220 licenses and supported by training sessions across Canada’s time zones. The result was improved email filing, easier access to project records, and better audit and legal readiness; WSP noted it is now in a better position than before, with clear time-savings potential in a firm where staff time is highly valuable.
