Writec, a technical communications services company based in Italy, needed a single way to create and publish online Help and documentation across multiple channels. It wanted to replace Adobe RoboHelp and FrameMaker, improve the experience on desktop and mobile, and make it easier to translate content from Italian into multiple languages.

Writec adopted MadCap Software’s MadPak suite, including MadCap Flare, MadCap Analyzer, and MadCap Lingo, to streamline authoring, quality checks, and translation. The company used conditional tags, snippets, variables, global project linking, and HTML5 responsive design to reuse content and deliver help and documentation in seven languages, and one Flare-based project for Gavazzi Automation earned the STC Best of Show 2014 Award.
