Venafi needed to bring documentation in house, deliver both online Help and PDF files from the same content, and create a more interactive help experience for users. The company had been outsourcing documentation, and its printed materials had grown to more than 1,700 pages. To address that, Venafi turned to MadCap Software and MadCap Flare, along with MadCap Pulse.

Using MadCap Software’s Flare, Venafi imported nine product guides into a single project and began publishing HTML5 Help and PDFs from one source. The team says Flare eliminated redundancies, cut project update times from two to three days to minutes, improved search results, and made content easier to use with drop-down text, thumbnails, and glossary features. MadCap Pulse added social collaboration and analytics, helping Venafi refine its Help content and reduce customer support calls.
