A MadCap Software Case Study
Technical Expressions, Inc., a technical communications consulting firm in Calgary, needed to move beyond its older authoring tool, Adobe RoboHelp, which required workarounds and had become harder to use for both print and Web publishing. The company wanted standards-based software that could improve content quality and consistency, reduce project time, and support single-sourcing for multiple output formats.
Technical Expressions adopted MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare native XML content authoring software and standardized on it across projects and clients. The company says the conversion from RoboHelp to Flare was seamless, with reusable content, conditional tags, and single-source multi-channel publishing helping eliminate redundancies, reduce errors, and lower costs, while still delivering up-to-date documentation in online, PDF, and Word formats.
