A MadCap Software Case Study
Software Engineering Professionals (SEP), a high tech services company in Carmel, Indiana, needed a better way to create permission-based Web Help for different groups of users and to offer a printable manual. Its homegrown approach was complicated, lacked a WYSIWYG view, and could not publish print documentation, so SEP looked for a new authoring system.
SEP chose MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare to publish three versions of Web Help and a PDF manual from the same project. The team also used Microsoft Word integration and Microsoft Team Foundation Server for version control, which helped keep Help updates synchronized with new software releases.
