OverDrive used Microsoft Word and the Sitefinity content management system to publish online Help, but the setup could not scale with the company’s fast-changing environment. Its Help content had become unstable and outdated, and the team needed a better way to modernize HTML5 Help, streamline updates, improve search, and support both internal and external users.

OverDrive chose MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare, along with MadCamp training, to move to topic-based authoring, single-source publishing, and HTML5 output. The team now manages 1,050-plus documents and more than 400 Help articles, integrates with SharePoint and Apache SVN, and publishes searchable support content to Salesforce. MadCap Software’s training shortened the learning curve and cut project development time, while index keywords and conditional tagging improved search results and reduced duplicate work.
