Humber College Uses MadCap Flare to Deliver Online Humanities Course Linked to Blackboard and Supplemental CD

Humber College used MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare to update and manage its online Humanities 024 course and a supplemental CD. The college wanted to enrich students’ learning, let a professor create content without relying on IT staff, and connect course material with Blackboard while improving security and content quality.

Using MadCap Flare, Humber College’s professor was able to build the course content himself, publish updates as needed, and link the online course directly into Blackboard through a simple WebDev connection. MadCap Software’s topic-based authoring and WYSIWYG editing supported the course structure, and the same tool was used to maintain the supplemental CD with linked readings, definitions, and resources.
