CM Labs Simulations, a Montreal-based software company, needed to replace a legacy DITA-based authoring tool that made it difficult and time-consuming to create and deliver online Help. The team also wanted a more modern HTML5-based experience that would be easier for users to navigate on desktop and mobile devices.

CM Labs Simulations migrated to MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare and MadCap Contributor to support topic-based authoring, single-source publishing, version control, and SME review. The change cut Help build time from more than 15 minutes to 2 minutes, reduced update cycles from hours to minutes, and gave the company a responsive HTML5 Help system with better search and navigation.
