BRE Group, a building research and testing organization in the United Kingdom, needed a better way to manage multiple versions of documentation for its environmental assessment schemes. Its existing process made it difficult to keep manuals, online Help, and print materials in sync, and the company wanted a single-source approach that would improve consistency, collaboration, and navigation for users.

BRE Group implemented MadCap Software’s MadCap Flare, along with MadCap Analyzer and MadCap Contributor, to centralize content, reuse material across 10 BREEAM schemes, and support review and version control. The system helped BRE reduce duplicate content, streamline updates, and improve quality checks, while also giving assessors and customers easier access to online Help, PDFs, printed manuals, and searchable glossaries.
