Roal Oy is a Finland-based enzyme manufacturer serving the food, feed and industrial sectors, with roughly EUR 57 million in turnover and about 150 employees. As a biotech company, Roal faced heavy documentation demands and manual, paper-based non‑conformance reporting that made traceability, ISO certification and secure, timely access to up‑to‑date documents difficult.

Since 2008 Roal has used M‑Files to replace paper forms with online forms and automated workflows, and in 2014 expanded to M‑Files QMS for controlled document versioning, validity periods and automated notifications. The hybrid setup (cloud vaults for contractor collaboration and on‑premises QMS) now handles ~300 new documents monthly and ~400 quality documents under control, improving traceability, quality, operations and on‑time deliveries while supporting ISO and food‑safety certification efforts.
