Norco Co-operative Limited is a 100% Australian farmer-owned dairy co‑operative (est. 1895) producing milk, butter, cheese and other dairy products and operating 28 retail stores along Australia’s east coast. The business was hampered by paper‑based, manual processes — processing more than 100,000 invoices a year with inconsistent file naming, time‑consuming scanning and rekeying (three staff spending 84 hours/week), poor audit trails, hard‑to‑manage proof‑of‑delivery records, and manual contractor and safety compliance workflows.

Working with Storata, Norco implemented M‑Files (with ABBYY FlexiCapture and ERP integrations to MoPro/SAP) to centralize documents, automate invoice validation and approvals, and digitize HR, POD, safety audits and contractor compliance via portals and workflows. The change cut invoice handling from 84 to 53 hours/week (about 45% time savings in admin), freed staff for higher‑value work, eliminated roughly 20,000 printed pages/month, and delivered stronger auditability, security, real‑time visibility and mobile access across the business.
