Newman Women’s Shelter is an Australian not-for-profit that supports women and children affected by family and domestic violence, providing emergency and longer-term accommodation, financial and material assistance, health and counseling referrals, and other wraparound services. The organization struggled with a large, ad hoc volume of information stored in Windows Explorer, slow paper-based approval processes, difficulty tracking emails and remote staff activity, and time-consuming regulatory audits — all of which diverted staff time away from client care.

Working with Ellyard Enterprises, Newman implemented M-Files to centralize documents, automate workflows and approvals, and securely file emails. The solution created a largely paperless office with integrated audit trails and reporting, sped up compliance audits, improved record-keeping and governance, and freed staff to focus more on community services.
