Indara (formerly Axicom) is an Australian owner and operator of roughly 2,000 wireless infrastructure sites that supports the national telecommunications industry. After separating from its US parent, the company faced a compliance-heavy environment and a fragmented document estate—half in paper (stored in large compactus units) and half in disparate digital locations—which created security, governance and efficiency problems and threatened a major contract opportunity that required strict document integrity controls.

Indara selected M-Files (with implementation and change support from Storata) to migrate and classify 1.3 million documents, apply metadata-driven access controls and integrate document access with its project systems. The rollout digitized approvals, eliminated the need to move bulky storage, sped document retrieval, strengthened auditability and collaboration, and delivered measurable compliance, cost savings and improved customer response times.
