Freeze-Dry Foods unfreezes document management obstacles with M-Files

Freeze-Dry Foods, a Greven, Germany–based specialist in freeze-dried fruits, vegetables, herbs and other ingredients and part of the Groneweg Group, needed to modernize document handling across its regulated, global operations. Faced with large volumes of certificates, test reports and compliance documentation, the company wanted faster, more secure access to files and seamless integration with its ERP to prevent time-consuming searches and duplication.

Working with partner TSO‑DATA, Freeze-Dry Foods implemented M-Files’ metadata-driven document management and the DMS Connector for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Documents are tagged with metadata instead of stored in rigid folders, can be dragged-and-dropped from Business Central, and are automatically archived and version-controlled. The result: quicker, more reliable access to certificates and reports, fewer duplicates, streamlined processes and measurable time savings across departments.
