Essity Finland, a major hygiene and soft-tissue manufacturer and part of global Essity, needed to modernize its ISO-driven quality, environment and safety management across production sites. Before M-Files, critical documents lived on network drives, factory walls and printouts, making audits, version control, shift handovers, chemical documentation and technical drawings slow, error-prone and hard to manage.

Essity implemented M-Files QMS to centralize manuals, SOPs, drawings, MSDSs, training records and NCRs with metadata-driven version control, templates and automated workflows (e.g., chemical approvals and training expiry alerts). The result: consistent, audit-ready documentation, smoother shift transitions, faster approvals and reporting, improved risk management and time savings—helping ensure compliance with ISO standards and more uniform product quality.
