Manual, paper-based processes and legacy archiving software made tracking employee data, customs paperwork, contracts and returns inefficient and opaque, hindering cross-border standardization and scalability.

Working with partner Graphax, Rieker implemented M-Files as a central ECM and added smart FIX AI-based automatic document reading to digitize workflows. The solution now manages contracts, digital customer files for ~35,000 customers, customs cases (100,000+ documents) and purchase-to-pay/returns processing, delivering >90% automated data recognition for customs, improved master data quality, consistent international processes, better transparency and strong user satisfaction.
