Electricity Distribution Company Caruna Invests in Digital Services And Develops Intelligent Information Management System With the Help of M-files

Caruna is a Finnish electricity distribution company serving over 700,000 customers with a network of more than 88,000 km and roughly 300 employees plus 1,000 partner users. Before 2016 the company had no official document management system—information was fragmented across SharePoint, network drives, personal computers and emails—causing poor access, version confusion and delays that hindered service and productivity.

Caruna implemented M-Files as its intelligent information management platform, creating a collaborative repository used by employees and partners for real-time document sharing, mobile access and ERP/CIS integration. The solution enabled near-complete automation of contract handling (including e-signatures), improved customer service, more effective collaboration, consistent up-to-date information for compliance and plans to extend M-Files Online and HR functionality for further digitization.
