SleepQuest, a Bay Area sleep apnea care provider founded by Robert Koenigsberg with four locations and support for 3,000 providers, was struggling with high no-show rates and time-consuming phone-based scheduling and reminders. To address missed appointments and poor contact rates, SleepQuest turned to Luma Health’s text-based platform, including the Luma Next interface, for appointment confirmations and actionable reminders.
Luma Health implemented automated text confirmations, two-way actionable reminders, and an automated referral outreach tool, which made it easier to reach patients outside business hours and reduced reliance on repetitive phone calls and cancellation letters. As a result, SleepQuest reports many more patients responding to texts rather than calls, saving services from being cancelled and cutting staff time spent on outreach—demonstrating improved patient engagement and fewer lost appointments thanks to Luma Health.
