Phelps Memorial Health Center, a 25-bed critical access hospital in Holdrege, Nebraska, faced persistent care gaps and heavy staff burden from manual patient follow-up because many patients travel long distances for appointments. Luma Health automated two-way appointment reminders, pre-visit intake forms, and instant status updates back into MEDITECH, freeing nursing time and expanding outreach. The results: 90% of appointments confirmed via Luma reminders, 84% of patients complete intake pre-appointment, Luma reaches over 98% of the patient population, and more than 82% of patients aged 61–80 respond — streamlining workflows and reducing manual calling.
