Maury Regional Health, a not-for-profit health system in the crowded Nashville market, needed an automated way to reach patients and keep schedules full across many services and locations. To reduce manual work and make complex specialty appointments easier to schedule or change, Maury Regional Health partnered with Luma Health to integrate automated patient outreach into its Cerner EHR.

Luma Health implemented EHR-integrated automated reminders, two-way text rescheduling and schedule write-back to Cerner, plus standardized self-service workflows tailored to patients. The Luma Health solution reduced ambulatory no-shows from 10% to 8%, doubled appointment volume, and enabled about 100 patients per month to reschedule by text, cutting phone calls and easing staff burden.
