Houston Thyroid & Endocrine Specialists (HTES) needed to see more patients—especially those who couldn’t access care during standard office hours—and found patients arrived unprepared while staff spent hours on pre-visit outreach. To address this, HTES turned to Luma Health, using Luma Health’s patient engagement platform to send pre-appointment educational materials and automated reminders.
Using Luma Health, HTES began sending tailored educational content and reminders before visits, which boosted patient engagement and freed staff from manual outreach (saving about 10 hours per day). Visits dropped from 90 to 15 minutes, enabling expanded telehealth hours and a ninefold increase in visit capacity, while patients arrived better informed and appointments became higher-value.
